Fall Family Campout
All are Welcome
September 20 to 22nd, 2019
Join us at Black Butte Lake Buckhorn Campground for a weekend of simple social gathering, songs around the fire, and children frolicking by the lake. As we are not putting on our normal gathering for women and girls in Concow this year, Serra and Colleen have stepped forward to organize this weekend where families can gather, including the partners in our lives. Our intention is to celebrate the relationships we’ve built at the Weaving Women’s Wisdom Gathering by being together at this campout.

Friday, September 20th at 2:00pm - Sunday the 22nd at 12:00pm, 2019
There will be no schedule although we will hold a welcoming and closing ceremony when it seems appropriate. If you have something that you want to share (skill, song, ceremony), you’re welcome to bring it and make that offering. The main intention is to gather in whatever way we feel comfortable and we’re excited to watch what emerges.
You may bring a boat. Please read the info on the website linked above for more information.
What to bring:
Camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad), firewood if desired, swimsuits, your own food, warm and cold weather layers, cooking gear, dishes, utensils, cups, wash basin, soap, camping stove and fuel.
All are welcome; women, men & children. This will be a very informal gathering of mostly cis-gender, white families and children. This is not an all women’s gathering. NO DOGS PLEASE.
$20/ vehicle + $5 a person (including children over 2 years)
This is a self-sufficient camping weekend. Please bring all of your own gear for cooking, eating, and clean up. Trash bins, bathrooms (including showers), and potable water will be available on site. Recreation includes swimming in the lake, boating, hiking trails, and biking trails. There is no electricity.
Bring all your own food. You will be responsible for your own meals and are welcome to collaborate with others as feels good. Saturday evening we will cook a large pot of beans and rice to share with everyone. Please bring something to compliment that meal; cheese, salsa, avocados, sour cream, seeds, meat, etc.
We need to know how many people and vehicles you will be bringing. Vehicles cost $20 each and people are $5 each (same price for adults and children over 2 yrs).
If we run out of vehicle passes, you can still buy tickets per person, but you will need to find a carpool, get dropped off/picked up at the site, or bike! We are capped at 40 vehicles and 80 people. Please register early to ensure your spot. Email Colleen if you need a ride.
